Try calligraphy under the guidance of Japanese-born Taeko
Are you curious about testing your talents in the magical field of calligraphy? Then you are warmly welcome to Herresta Lada on Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2022. We will then be visited by Taeko Östergren Cedermark with roots in Japanese culture. Taeko will guide us in various techniques and expressions in the art of calligraphy. It means much more than painting concentrated, as important elements in the work are also of a more meditative and ceremonial nature.
The course includes:
• All equipment needed such as brushes, rice paper, mat and ink
• Introduction, guidance and support from Taeko both before and during the work
• Own work and training in several stages, where you paint your end products on real rice paper with the opportunity to take home and maybe frame
• Break with Japanese tea and rice cakes
• Screening of film sequences from Japan with inspiration from masters in calligraphy
• Comfortable setting and togetherness in a pleasant environment
This event is primarily aimed at those of you who are curious about and want to try calligraphy but do not have previous experience.
